MILPITAS,CA, 28 January 2008 – Zed-3 today announced the release of its software version 1.0.1 for the SE150 IP PBX. The system is a pure IP PBX running SIP and accommodates up to 150 users. These new features are in response to requests from customers for greater voice mail capability and greater number of channels to the PSTN. The SE150 IP PBX uses a compact flash (CF) card to store voice mail. The amount of storage is limited only by the size of the card, up to 40 GB which can store 1500 hours of voice mail, or 10 hours per user. The product can connect directly to ITSPs; plug in modules allow the system to connect to the PSTN. With the four slots on the SE150, and modules available with a single T1/E1 or eight analog circuits, the system can now allow 30 channels to the PSTN. If T1 or E1 is being used to connect to the PSTN, a second card can be installed in the system permitting calls to be routed from an existing PBX. In this case, the SE150 IP PBX connects between the legacy PBX and the PSTN so there are minimal or zero changes to the programming of the existing PBX. The SE150 IP PBX has been shipping for four months and has had a good reception from customers and business partners,” said Nick Ho, Head of Product Marketing at Zed-3. “These software improvements allow us to satisfy the needs of more customers.” The SE150 IP PBX provides a clear path for future growth since it is capable of networking with multiple SE systems over a WAN. This provides toll bypass savings and allows a business or enterprise to preserve its investment as it expands. Pricing and Availability
The SE150 IP PBX is available in distribution now. A fully configured system for 150 users has a list price of less than $7200. For more information, access www.zed-3.com or call +1-408-587-ZED3.
